The quest after lost, hiding or fugitive persons in
the night without uncloak ourself is a remarkable
problem. With the usage of ordinary flash-lights and
other light-emitter the fugitive persons can easily
notice their chasers presence and position. In case
of search after lost persons, the searching area
reduces only for the lighted area.
Usage night vision tool provide solution for this
problem. The tool helps to amplify the surrounding
light within visible range make brighter the whole
environment without make known the user’s position.
The amplifying does not limited a narrowly defined
area, so the user see his/her total environment
brighter what conducive the orientation.
Operating theories, ranges of action, differences.
How the night vision works?
Answer: The night vision is a vacuumpipe, what
amplify the lights of low lighted areas, make
observable the surrounding area. The objective
collect these surround lights and focus them to the
image amplifier. The photo-cathode transfer the
incident light to electronic signs.
The image amplifier boost and multiply these
electronics signs. At the and of the process the
multiplied signs arrive to a phosphorus-coated face
and make visible picture.
Depends on the operation field there are picture
amplifier pipes work in sparks, visible, and
infrared province.
What is the difference between the
generations?
1th Generation
Electrostaticly focused pipes with high resolution,
dynamic, and low noise.
2nd Generation.
They have been made since the middle of the 80’s
using MCP technology. Significantly stronger amplify
feature with lower resolution.
3th Generation
The technology appeared on the late 80’s which GaAs
photo-cathode provide higher sensitivity near to the
infrared range. At the late 90’s appeared the
advanced versions of these pipes. We call them Gen
III Omni III and Gen III Omni IV.
The generations are not ment qualitative differents,
they just give information about the used technology.
Which parameters are important chosen night
vision:
The important technical parameters:
- Signal-Noise Ratio
- Resolution and MTF
- Lifespan
High Signal-Noise ratio
Low Signal-Noise ratio
Lifespan
In the cases of night vision the lifespan is very
important. The better products can provide around
15.000 hours, which means after that time the
sensitivity around 50%
